Omelette-Stuffed Minute Steak in Tomato Curry Sauce
Ingredients
For the omelette (already prepared):
* Eggs
* Grated cheese
* Fresh parsley, finely chopped
* Black pepper
For the steak:
* Minute steak slices
* Black pepper
For the filling:
* Prosciutto cotto
* Cheddar cheese (slices or grated)
For the sauce:
* Onion, sliced
* Fresh tomatoes, chopped
* Black pepper
* Curry powder
* Tomato sauce
* Olive oil
Method
1. Prepare the omelette
Make an omelette with eggs, grated cheese, parsley and black pepper.
Cook it until set, then set aside. *(This step is already done and not filmed.)*
2. Season the steak
Lightly pepper the minute steak on both sides.
3. Assemble the steak
Place a portion of the omelette on the steak.
Add prosciutto cotto and some cheddar cheese on top.
Close or fold the steak over the filling.
4. Fry the stuffed steak
Heat olive oil in a pan and fry the stuffed steak on both sides until golden and sealed.
Once cooked, remove from the pan and set aside.
5. Prepare the sauce (same pan)
In the same pan, add a little more olive oil if needed.
Add the onions and cook until soft.
Add fresh tomatoes, black pepper and curry powder.
Stir in some tomato sauce and let it simmer until the sauce thickens.
6. Finish cooking
Return the stuffed steak to the pan.
Let it cook gently in the sauce so all the flavours come together.
7. Serve and enjoy
When ready, serve hot and enjoy straight from the pan to the plate 🍽️
